Morgan and I recently celebrated our one year wedding anniversary – it’s crazy how fast that year went by. I feel like our wedding was yesterday, but I also can hardly remember life without Morgan. I honestly have never been happier, this year has been the greatest year of my life. It is incredible to be able to share your life so completely – Morgan & I do everything together. I never knew I could love someone so much. I don’t know how I got so lucky to get to marry Morgan. I have never met anyone so caring, loving, and happy. I am so grateful I get to spend my life with someone who makes the best out of every day.
To celebrate our anniversary we went to the Oregon coast. It was absolutely gorgeous. We went to Oceanside California for our honeymoon, and Seaside Oregon for our anniversary. Hopefully we will be able to spend every one of our anniversaries hand-in-hand next to the Ocean. This year has been better then I could of imagined and I am so excited for our future together.
Now for my makeup, I used my favorite highlighter from Physicians Formula – I use it to highlight my cheekbones, under my brows, and on my cupid’s bow. I have been using this highlighter for over 4 years now, I have tried other brands and I always go back to Physicians Formula. They have a couple different versions of powdered highlighters and I love them all! My favorite is the one in the picture above and their shimmer strips. They have such a high pigmentation for a drug store brand, you only need a small amount and it lasts all day. Sorry for the long explanation, but I get ask a lot about what I use on my cheek bones. 🙂 Click HERE to see the highlighter.
For my lipstick I am wearing a matte lip cream by NYX Cosmetics in the color addis ababa. I am in love with all of NYX lip products they are such great quality and they are only $6 (I have way too many of them- I’m obsessed!). Their matte lip cream stays on so well and it’s perfect for pictures because it is not going to move. If you are taking engagements I would recommend getting one of their matte lip creams because it will not come off on your man, your hair won’t get stuck in it, and adding color to your lips helps so your they don’t disappear in pictures. 🙂 Click HERE to see the lipstck.
My favorite mascara from the drug store is the original Voluminous by L’Oreal. It works the best for me – you can usually tell how the mascara it going to apply by the brush. The brush for this mascara is nice and fluffy which makes it fast and easy to get the look I am going for. Click HERE to see the mascara.
Lastly, my favorite eyeshadow is the naked 2 palette by urban decay. This eyeshadow is a little pricey but it has such a strong pigmentation that you only need a very small amount. I have had mine for over a year and I would say I have used about 1/4 of it. Urban decays eyeshadow primer also makes a huge difference – it makes your eyeshadow true to color, crease free, and last all day. Click HERE to see the eyeshadow.
For my hair, I used a 1 1/2 inch curling iron to curl all of my hair and then I take sections of my hair, wrap it around my finger and hold it with a bobby pin. It’s a pretty simple way to get that classy look. 🙂
